On February 6, 2012 we had our monthly meeting with partnered cities/catalysts and talked about what makes a good board. Part of what we do at City Net is to walk along side leaders in cities in the Southern California area and help support them in the work they do in their respective cities by connecting them with others who are also leading neighborhood/city movements. We also work to empower them by providing capacity building. At our last gathering we talked about how to build a good board and implement policy governance well. Dysfunctional boards can stifle the vision of the organization and keep us from fulfilling God's call for us and our cities. So how can we build and speak into good boards that will make the organization and movement more impactful?
